About Me
I’m Father Mark Colville, an ordained Independent Catholic priest with the Holy Celtic Church International, and a U.S. Army veteran. I started Traveling Light Ministries to help people heal—especially those who have felt overlooked, excluded, or spiritually wounded.
This ministry was born out of my own journey through grief, spiritual searching, and transformation. I know what it feels like to carry loss and to seek light in dark places. That’s why I created a space where others could find comfort, clarity, and connection.
I’ve been practicing mindfulness and energy healing for over 20 years. I’m trained and certified in Usui Reiki Ryoho as taught by Frans Stiene, co-founder of the International House of Reiki. I’ve studied Komyo Reiki Do directly with Hyakuten Inamoto, a Japanese Pure Land Buddhist monk and the founder of Komyo Reiki Do. I’ve also trained in Gendai Reiki Ho, and I am a certified Holy Fire III Reiki Master Teacher, having studied with William Lee Rand, founder of the International Center for Reiki Training.
I’m a certified End-of-Life Doula, Bereavement Coordinator, and Life Coach, supporting individuals and families through difficult transitions with compassion and presence. I’m also certified in the Grief Recovery Method, a step-by-step process that helps people work through the pain of loss—whether from death, divorce, trauma, or other life changes. I’m licensed to teach it both online and in person.
I’ve completed Gottman Method Levels 1 and 2, a research-based approach to building healthier relationships through emotional awareness, better communication, and trust. I offer these tools to couples and individuals who want to reconnect and grow.
As a veteran, I have a deep commitment to serving military families and others who carry invisible wounds. But my ministry is open to everyone. I welcome people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and identities—including LGBTQ+ individuals, those from diverse racial and cultural communities, and anyone who has been hurt or cast out by religion.
Faith, to me, is not just belief—it’s how we show up for one another. It’s found in prayer, in listening, in holding space for healing. Whether I’m offering Reiki, grief support, end-of-life care, spiritual guidance, or relationship support, my hope is always the same: to bring light to those who need it.
Traveling Light Ministries is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to bring spiritual healing, support, and education to those who need it most.
