Back in 2004, my sister and I used to visit every metaphysical shop we could find around Cincinnati, Ohio. We would spend hours looking through candles, crystals, books, and tools that spoke to the spirit. One day, we went to the Victory of Light Psychic Festival in Sharonville. We were working our way through the booths when we came across a sweet lady offering Reiki attunements.
I had never heard of Reiki before, but the calm and peaceful energy around her made me stop. After she explained the benefits, I felt drawn to try it for myself. That day, I received my Level One Reiki attunement. I had no idea at the time how much that single choice would change the rest of my life.
After that, something in me opened up. I carried what I learned from that day into everything I did. When I joined the Army, I carried Reiki with me. When I worked as an emergency medical technician and later as a dental assistant and hygienist, I brought Reiki into those spaces too. It became a part of how I cared for others. It was quiet, but it was always there.
Years later, after an accident, I had to medically retire from the Army. My health took a hard turn. I found myself lost and in pain. Then I remembered Reiki. I remembered what I had been taught years before. I went back to my roots. I returned to the daily healing meditations I had once practiced. And they helped. Slowly but surely, I began to feel like myself again.
I searched for Reiki classes in my area and decided to go deeper. I became a Reiki Master Teacher. That step changed everything. I felt alive again. I had taken back control of my life. And I fell in love with Reiki all over again.
From that point forward, I wanted to learn everything I could about Reiki. I studied with independent Reiki teachers and also with some of the most respected names in the world—William Lee Rand, Frans Stiene, and Hyakuten Inamoto. I was trained in many different lineages and traveled far and wide to receive the most authentic and meaningful training I could find.
My life has never been the same.
Now, I live to share what I have learned. I offer Reiki training that is honest, grounded, and real. I want to bring Reiki to those who need it the most—people who are hurting, people who feel lost, people who are trying to find their way back to themselves. Reiki helped me return to myself. I believe it can help others too.
